Qualifications
Whether you are looking for an internship to complete your Masters Degree or you are looking for external supervision as you move towards full licensure with the CRPO, please look through my qualifications to ensure I meet all the requirements needed in your unique case.
Over five years of extensive clinical psychotherapeutic experience
A member in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and work as an independent practice/ practitioner
Completed over 50 hours of directed learning in providing clinical supervision
Please email me to inquire about additional specific qualifications to meet your school’s requirements or to ensure I have specialized training in the modalities / client population you are working in and supporting.
Philosophy
I practice a relational model of supervision, which aligns with how I work as a therapist. This means that I believe that the supervisor does not hold authority or power over a supervisee, rather, we work as a team to reach your professional goals, address concerns or questions about client-facing work, manage ethical dilemmas or navigate the art of being a therapist. I believe in a supervisee’s inherent knowledge in the supervisory space (lived experience, training, client experience, previous work experience or innate skills). Regardless of skill level or depth of knowledge I will serve as a facilitator, coming with curiosity and although I will give feedback and resources as well, I ensure space is given to collaborate and build a strong and positive working relationship.
Offerings & Rates
Individual supervision (not practicum) - $150 per 60 minute supervision session
Dyadic supervision - $115 for each supervisee per 90 minutes supervision session
Group supervision (closed group) - $75 for a 2 hour supervision session. Groups will be held biweekly in 4-month increments. There will be a minimum of 4 participants for groups to run. Days and times TBD
Example - January 2026 until April 2026: $600 for 16 hours of supervision
Internship opportunities at Alysha Bernstein Therapy will be available beginning in September 2025. If you are interested in an internship please email info@alyshabernsteintherapy.com with a CV, transcript, and a brief description of the kind of work you are interested in doing (no formal cover letter required).
I can only take one intern per training period. It will also be an asset for the candidate to be available on Thursday afternoons and Fridays.
